This area of the project's work seeks to tease out the connections between personal experience of mental wellbeing and mental ill-health and how we learn and teach about it.
There has been a lot of recent interest in the areas of
but the connections between these are not often drawn.
mhhe launched an enquiry in this area, using preliminary work - on the Person in the Professional - undertaken by Philomena Harrison, Roger Hennessey, Mick McKeown, Peter Gilbert, Judy Boxer, Natasha Donnelly and Jill Anderson. A regional and a national event were organised to discuss about the issues around the use of personal experience and various teaching approahes.
